Anyone have any recommendation on schools which have a focus or offer courses in Indian Law?

The way to specialize is by finding summer gigs that allow you to work in the area.  By the time you are applying to 2L summer jobs (that are hopefully your permanent offers 3L year), you will not have had an opportunity to take any classes in your "specialty."   It's also generally called tribal law, so you can avoid the whole Native American v. Indian debate.

Actually, there's tribal law, which nowadays generally refers to the development and practice of law within tribal entities, and Federal Indian Law, which addresses the legal relationship between the US federal government and the "domestic-dependent" sovereign tribal governments.

If you look at firm practice areas, it's usually just called "tribal law" and includes energy/natural resources on tribal lands, law within the tribe, and the tribes' relationships with other entities outside of the tribe.

The OP asked about law schools, not private law firms.

Actually, there's even more irony that the post was answered by someone who appears to have some fondness for Frank Baum.

Holy heck.

I read and loved all those books growing up. I had no idea  :-\

I did know there was some cross of gold/william jennings bryan stuff in there, though, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising that there was other heavy-handed symbolism going on, but still, yeesh.
