Whoa!  I've been so busy with finals I forgot to pay attention to shows... where are Arcade Fire and Ben Gibbard?  Are they sold out?

arcade fire is at the tower on saturday. its sold out but there are some tix kicking around on craigslist. I just sold a pair on there last week for face value. too bad I didnt know you needed some.

oh yeah... and if you havent seen Air (ala virgin suicides, lost in translation) live, i definitely recommend. saw them at coachella in 04-- great show.

hey, do you know if there's a good site to find summer festivals in philly?  i know there were some last year on the river...

man, that hls vs penn thread was out of control!  really reinforces my decision to come here. and bosco, i know it wasn't your fault...that guy just wanted to hear himself speak.  i hate creepers like that.  (hopefully he won't start sending me hate messages now that i've said that.  ugh.)

its disconcerting that so many quakers came to my defense, while my fellow maroons were nowhere to be found...they were probably outlining cases from the textbooks they ordered 5 months early...all rigor, no collegiality

i know of two off the top of my head. penn's landing at the may, "jam on the river," then mid july theres a festival with ozomatli, the decemberists, de la soul, the flaming lips et al. should be sweet.

I know they do a free local band concert series on river walk on some fridays in the summer but I havent been. hope to this year.

i'm from a college town and am so used to being bored, i don't think i'll know how to handle having things to do.
