Essay/PS Question
« on: September 06, 2004, 12:15:57 PM »
My personal statement is about how being a college athlete has shaped who I am, and how seeing the injustices that Title IX still hasn't fixed makes me want to be a lawyer so I can make sure Title IX isn't weakened and I can ensure the equality of women's sports at all levels.  Northeastern also has an optional essay about what kind of agency or advocacy organization you would like to work for to fulfill the public interest requirement they have.  Would it be overkill if I wrote about the women's sports foundation, or would it make me seem really passionate about the subject?  All opinions/suggestions wanted!

Title IX isn't killing wrestling, football is.  You think they need all the money most programs spend?  Title IX just takes the blame because its easier to blame the female divers than it is to blame the football guys.
