ehn, I've been doing nothing. A few days is all I can take.

A question for all:
How likely is it that you would/could have an SO with opposite opinions on politics?

Very likely, seeing as how I've tended to gravitate toward people w/ opposing viewpoints.  It makes conversation interesting, and if you have an open mind, you can learn a lot.

I think I could do it as long as we didn't really discuss the politics too much and as long as their opinions weren't ocmpletely moronic. :D

Eh.  As long as he's not stupid and/or condescend to whole groups of people, I don't/wouldn't mind it a bit.

ROFL

I think I'd be ok with someone who disagreed with me on the best method for ensuring healthcare is available for children, for example, but I don't think I could deal with someone who thought that the constitution should be amended to preclude gay marriage, for example.

Again, it depends on what one means by politics. Different ideas about how to get it done don't count as polar opposite, or a problem, in my book. Different ideas about the way the world should be, more so.

tomato tomato

I say fascists and communists are polar opposites
Also, I don't know many ppl who truly believe that we shouldn't have any civil liberties, only the rich should get medical treatment, and we should always be fighting a war b/c its fun (even if they act like it sometimes).  90% of the time it's just a disagreement about how to get it done.  In America, at least
