It would be nice if schools disaggregated their URM and non-URM admissions indices, but that would send a catastrophically incorrect message about what aa is intended to do.

I know... I tend to assume 25th percentile and down is URM. That is kind of rude but the schools won't give us any better data.

I know URM status makes this data even more unreliable (not that it would tell you much anyway), but isn't it true that URMs make up far less than 25% at several schools.  I saw somewhere that the overall minority percentage is 29% at top schools, but not all of these are URMs.  Also, surely there are at least several URMs that fall above either the 25% for LSAT or UGPA(or both).  I'm not trying to point fingers, just saying that I think non URMs might at times sell themselves short thinking they can't get into schools unless they have numbers at least at the schools previous medians.  There are white people getting in under the 25% mark.

Stripping out the Asian-Americans to identify true URMs, you arrive at 15.7% of the total class being URM and 38.4% of the minority group actually being URM.

That is true, I was forgetting to strip out Asians !!! Stoked now...

Is that a convoluted sarcastic double meaning?
