Does anyone know anything about Tulane post Katrina (job prospects,
reputation, etc.)? I've seen that it has not dropped in the USNWR
ranking and according to princeton review the average grad makes 90K.
I know it used to be a solid school, but is it still? I know it's
expensive (tuition wise), but would you go there?

Hey - Absolutely it is a solid school post-Katrina.  If you want to either (1) Work in the south, or (2) Work in New York City, then it is a great place to be.  There are lots of Tulane grads in NYC at every big firm (including Cravath, Skadden, etc. etc.).  On the other hand, if you are considering the West Coast, then it is not as great an option, because they simply don't have the connections out there, or the alumni network.

Either way, if you do extremely well, you'll have lots of options because it is well-known and has a national reputation, unlike other schools similarly, or slightly higher ranked.  Great faculty and good environment.  The area where Tulane is is gorgeous and I'd certainly recommend you consider it. They actually made several high-profile faculty acquisitions this year which is good news, and secured a big-time donation from David Boies, the famous attorney, whose two kids went to Tulane Law School.
