Should I register for the bar as a 1L?

Should I register for the bar as a 1L?

Is it critical to register for Bar/Bri when I'm only a 1L?  I hear you lock in the price...but how necessary is it?

Lock in your price now.  The price of Barbri increases each year.
I think the cost to lock in is less than $100.  And for a bonus, you get a 1L review book.  It has good outlines and review questions.

just to be clear, registering for Bar/Bri is NOT registering for the bar exam.  the bar application is a whole other level of enjoyment.

The savings are worth it and so are the review books. FYI they give you an upper class book as 2l/3l.

In my opinion, it is not necessary. At least in my case, if you decide you still want to use Barbri even as a 3L, just go to any student rep from Barbri and tell them you are torn between them and Kaplan. It is not like the old days when Barbri had 9 out of 10 students signed up, at least not in most law schools. They will give you a deal to get you to sign up. even later in law school.
