Your favorite Infomercial, past or present
« on: December 28, 2004, 07:23:56 PM »
Past: The Ab-Flex in the 90's. My friend bought one, and it was the shoddiest thing I've ever seen. It rates next to garbage and over a million were sold; even back then I was laughing at the informericials because the product looked so ridiculous. It looked like a plastic stealth bomber and everyone wanted one. What great marketing their part.

Present: The Magic Bullet. My favorite part is when they stick leftovers in it, blend it up, and pour this thick, nasty maroon-colored substance and call it marinara sauce. Superb!

chaser tabs: Not sure if it counts as an infomertial, but they are pills that you can take while you drink to help avoid hangovers. I thought it would be a great idea for my 21st birthday. Coincidentally, my birthday falls on the night of halloween, so I was dressed up in a cow suit while I performed a test run for these pills.

I guess they don't work if you puke them up. I felt like crap the next day  :P

Waxine!

"Hello! Organic substances recently discovered in the depths of the rain forest!"

(OK, technically not an infomercial, per se...)

There was one about real estate investing... with twin midgets.  They had matching suits and they changed suits as the backgrounds changed... I know for part of it they're by a pool... Good times.
