i'm not sure how this happened, but i am on five waiting lists:  gw, vandy, wisconsin, wash u, and emory.  what's up with that?  anyone else out tere in my situation (i.e. waitlisted at almost every school to which they applied?)

i have similar numbers to yours--3.8/161 from georgetown.  i was denied from georgetown and u of texas, waitlisted at gwu, wisconsin, and wash u, and accepted at minnesota, colorado, and american.  good luck.  hope this is helpful!

i have a high gpa from georgetown--3.8, but i have a low lsat, and i was rejected and waitlisted from most of the schools i applie to.  however, friends of mine with much lower gpa's but higher lsats have gotten into the schools i would have loved to attend.  i think you will be fine.  165 is a fabulous score.  good luck to you!

Greta--

I wish you the best of luck.  However, I would advise you to worry, most of all, about the LSAT.  I went to Georgetown as an undergrad nad graduated with a 3.8 GPA.  I assumed I would be able to go to Georgetown law school.  After all, I was at the top of my class at a top school--the very school at which I wanted to stay.  Things changed with the LSAT.  I got a 161, and I was denied from Georgetown.  I don't want to scare you:  I just want to let you know where the priorities of the admissions department lie.  GOOD LUCK!

if you guys are strongly interested in a safe place to live, i suggest georgetown.  you should check out craig's list, though, and see what's available.  i think it is best, if you can find a group of four to six people, to consider a townhouse.

good luck!
