Choosing the Right Law School / Re: ED at UVA - Any Word?

There's a guy on TLS who says he got an email indicating that his status checker went to decision.  He posted an email and a portion of the status check info, so it sounded legit.  He had numbers that were pretty well below the 25%'s though, so I don't know what any of this means (this was on the 27th, I don't think he's gotten the whatever it is in the mail yet).

On another note, I'm thinking that they'll start sending stuff out on Monday maybe?  12/4 and 12/5 were the corresponding Mon/Tues of 2006...

What are you guys numbers?

UPDATE: TLS Guy was deferred.  Got his letter today (11/30).  Just thought I'd share...

Reezy - I definitely am considering it, and I've applied, but I'm in at GULC already - there'd have to be some pretty legitimate financial considerations to take W&L over G'Town.  Maybe I'll be in the area though - I applied ED to UVA and should hear something next week (most likely a deferall, though...)

Stotan - You might feel underdressed, but there's something to be said for being comfortable.  On the other point, I actually like business clothes...

Congratulations on GULC and best of luck at UVA.

Hey, thanks a lot.  What's your first choice?

Wrong idea entirely.

I didn't own a pair of jeans in college.

I wore lots of polos, but never a popped collar.

It's just good friends, fun house parties, and lots of beer drinking.  You clearly didn't go to school in the south...

In the spirit of the thread title, what is the SAE like at W&L?  I'm in a chapter elsewhere, but I know there's great variation.

SAE = Same Assholes Everywhere.

they're pretty strong here.

Is Greek Life big at W&L?  That's almost as bad as requiring a Dean's Cert...

Oh you're one of those.  Sorry dude.  Yeah, no bars = ~85% greek.

Dude - SAE parties are always open to everyone.

*Sarcasm?*

SAE's not the problem.  The problem is that Hooterville is a commitment.  It's not like, let's walk over to Downfall and if it's just Hugh Ogburn then we can bail out fast.  It's like, let's take the oregon trail for 15 minutes then cross the Maury and then maybe we can remember where we're supposed to turn next and pray to Christ there aren't any sheriffs out tonight.  There's just so much that can go wrong there.

Although I imagine that this is where all the chicas were yesterday evening.  Probably we should have gone for it.

I'm with you on all of this.  No shame in missing an H'ville party - there are certainly a lot of variables in play.  Your alternative didn't sound to shabby either.  So are you really thinking about being a double-general?

ININ - I'm ~3.3, 170.  ED at UVA.  Thoughts?

I know this isn't the kind of question you were looking for, but it might be useful for me.  And be brutally honest.

Also, how is the softball?  I love softball...

It was only there my freshman year (I'm class of 07), but it was delicious.  While no Pete's/Smokin' Jim's, Stop-In is underrated.

Reezy - how was PP last night?  Bring a lil' lady back with you?
