Do you guys think this will have an effect on the job market in Minneapolis? Job growth in Minneapolis used to be among the highest in the nation but had already been slowing in recent years... it seems like this can't help.

Some might think it's silly to let the bridge collapse be a factor in this kind of decision, but it's going to be a mess in that area for years and I wouldn't want to deal with that... just something to think about.

You have a week-long class called intro to the study of law? Is it like an orienation type thing or something? I have never heard of a school doing that - just the prep course you can take on your own through the different companies or whatever.

You don't know very many people, clearly.

You also don't know very many lab techs (the job that an MCB will land.)

You're showing your highly elitist colors again.  How's Blackhawk treating you?

Lab techs, like other researchers, if done properly is a two-year pre-grad school position, not a career-track job.  I'm not going to include Research Associates at think-tanks either in this analysis.  Those are better described as internships.

I worked very hard to be able to be elitist.

And no, I don't live in Blackhawk.  Somewhere down the line that's a possibility, I suppose.  Although I'd rather be closer to the city on the Peninsula or just across the GGB, if I can't afford a mortgage and a private school tuition together.

Wow, you are extremely out of touch with reality.

This is not necessarily true in many urban centers regardless of your plan for mass abortions.

Yes, because urban centers are filled only with intelligent, educated, brilliant and wonderful people  ::)

Um, not only did I already violate the "don't get drunk in front of your classmates" rule, I also plan on violating it within 12 hours of moving into my house in a few weeks.

I think this is great ... it is an excellent way to dispel the cool image of smoking.

How will we know Cruella DeVille is evil?

Wow, you actually said something that was mildly clever and funny.

I like Thing's analysis...

As far as choosing which house to be in, I think the people who would want to be in a certain house are the ones who value the things that would put them in that house to begin with...

Kind of like how Michigan peeps self-select based on how laid back and cool they are   8)  :P

Maybe I'm way off but I always kind of found it hard to characterize Gryffindors... I mean ok so they are "brave" and "loyal." But Hufflepuffs are also extremely loyal, and there are brave members of every house. I feel like every house has something "different," but Gryffindor is like the best traits of each one or something...
