Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Wow it's been a whileeeeee
« on: December 01, 2007, 12:30:10 PM »
hahaha oh and how i've forgotten the internet personalities i find on this site.

i actually was just looking through my bookmarks and remembered about LSD.

But anyway... I diddd visit Cornell and it was amazing, beautiful, and quite impressive academically. I didn't want to apply to Cornell in the beginning because it is in bumblefuck, but I ended up applying and lovingggg it.

And btw - they often give out nice scholarships  ;) ;)

As far as the year off thing goes... yes blah blah I'm learning a lot about myself, etc., but I also am scared about hitting the books again. After having no work or tests or reading to do, you get used to the lazy lifestyle  ;D, and I can forsee it being a big adjustment to go back to school. On the positive note, I really think you do a LOTTTT of maturing in the year after college.

If I can give you any advice, it's don't base your decisions on what people say in the LSD bubble (though... paradoxically... by listening to that comment and not listening to anyone you're listening to me). There's a right law school for everyone, and I just remember how much time I spent on this site, trying to analyze my chances of getting into certain schools and figuring out what each school is like.

But good luck everyone!!! When you're all done, you'll laugh about the process.....

I haven't been back to this site in about 8 months.  :D It's funny to look at all the panic and to remember the days when I too was a part...

Just dropping in to say GO TO CORNELL!!!!!!! ;D

And if anyone I knew is around, hello! My year off is amazing, and you better fork over your outlines for me next year  ;)

Love,

Future Cornellian

I hope the boringness of this thread is not reflective of our class in general...yikes

where the hell are you people anyway

Don't make me mandate weekly boozing expeditions...

Obviously the thread went downhill when III disappeared :D

I'm trying to figure out my visa and flights and APARTMENT (howwww am I supposed to find my own) so that's taken up most of my time. But I'm in for Cayuga wine trails and boozing every weekend, etc.

Aaaand after finals/graduation hell is over, I return to LSD...crap, I was hoping to do something productive this summer

Quaillll. Haha yeah I've been losing interest in LSD, especially since I won't be in LS next year. I assume that the summer before I start I'll get back on and read all these frenetic housing/book reading posts.

Did you decideeeeeeee yet  :D

Dwight: What is the capital of Maine?

Andy: Montpelier, Vermont.  Which is close to Ithaca, where I went to Cornell.

 :)

So, why does it seem like everyone who wanted Hughes (on here and on the facebook group) got in? I thought it was pretty hard to get and it seemed like everyone wanted to live there.

False.  If you apply early, it's not hard to get in.  And it is certainly not the case that everyone wants to live there - not even close.

And everyone on this website is an overachiever and sent the forms back in before they were even sent out  :D

You're eons ahead of us Piggie.  I'm still stuck on 19.  I wish there was a way to save the game so you didn't have to go back through all of them every time.  Is there?

There IS!!! This is the link I used:

http://www.addictinggames.com/hyperframe.html

You can choose which level you play, and for a while it was saving the ones I completed.

Hahaha I played this game at the end of last semester instead of writing my Spanish paper! I remember 12 being really hard (I don't think I ever got past it) and 16, like everyone said. It's a great gameee
