Transferring / Part-time to NYU?
« on: July 04, 2006, 01:14:04 PM »
Hi, has anyone ever transferred from part-time to NYU?  I know they stipulate 28 credits minimum and 32 max.  Does that mean I won't be able to transfer after 1L?  But if I wait till after 2L my credits will be over the max limit.

Any info/advice appreciated!

Incoming 1Ls / Computers in class
« on: July 06, 2006, 08:38:31 AM »
Hi all,

How do people find using computers in class - space-wise?  I have a Dell Latitude (15 inch screen) laptop but was thinking of buying a small 12 inch (probably Thinkpad).  Is there space for your computer and your books in class?  Should I get the 12inch or stick with my big laptop?

Thanks for any advice!

I know NYLS is Tier 3, but is it more recognized in terms of IP Law and the IP firms than Brooklyn?  I've never really heard of Brooklyn being touted as a major IP school.  Anyone have any information/advice?  Should I still take Brooklyn because it's ranked so much higher than NYLS?  I do want to practice in IP when I'm done LS.  I've heard that the schools for IP in NY are Fordham>Cardozo>NYLS.

Would appreciate any advice.

Choosing the Right Law School / Brooklyn vs New York Law School ($$$)
« on: June 21, 2006, 09:33:13 AM »
I hope this hasn't been posted already.  Which would you choose out of Brooklyn or New York Law School?  Both are part-time.  New York Law School saves me about $12,000 a year.  I would appreciate some opinions!  Thanks!

Studying for the LSAT / To cancel or not???
« on: June 09, 2005, 06:35:23 PM »
Hi everyone, I have a dilemma and I need some serious advice. I did the June LSAT and could not concentrate on the questions at all! I kept getting distracted and focusing on the actual question was so hard. Anyway, I know I did very well on the Logic games (at least 20 qns right). Unfortunately, I just have no idea how I did on the other sections. I know I guessed a few, but the rest is a blank!! I just don't know whether I did good or bad. Should I cancel? I usually do well during practise...like a 170... I want to go to NYU...argggh, don't know if I should cancel or not!!! Did anyone else have the same experience?
