Choosing the Right Law School / FSU: no waitlist yet? WTF??
« on: May 15, 2008, 10:09:03 AM »
FSU has not even made a waitlist out of their deferrals yet and we are in the middle of May.  WTF are they thinking?  Has anyone heard of something like this before?  What should I expect as a deferred candidate?

Incoming 1Ls / Deferral Question. Please help me.

FSU hasn't made a waitlist; they still have many outstanding deferrals. They have accepted half of their deferrals on LSN and haven't rejected any, although they haven't decided on any deferrals in weeks.  What do you think will happen with the remaining deferrals?  Should I count my deferral as a rejection since we are so deep into the cycle?

ive been made aware from the admissions office at my desired school that not sending a deposit does not withdraw your app- there is a 2 week window.  PLEASE withdraw! people are unsure of their future.  thanks.

Just wondering if anyone has visited a school that deferred them, used a hint of charisma, and gotten accepted???

Visits, Admit Days, and Open Houses / Miami vs. FSU, please respond

Hi all. Quick question: Which is the better school strictly for job prospects?  Assume money is not an issue (although unfortunately it is).  I need something that I have noticed to be reconciled.  FSU is ranked higher and most would say to go there.  However, when researching large firms all over the nation, I find that there are Miami guys everywhere and it seems like a much more portable degree.  I understand Miami graduates many more than FSU each year which would help account for this, but the national FSU representation is lacking big time.  Why is Miami's diploma so much more portable than FSU throughout the country if FSU is supposed to be better.  I don't think it is.  Any comments would be appreciated.
