Incoming 1Ls / Tragedies/Happy events and Final Exams
« on: July 31, 2007, 04:03:10 PM »
Does anyone know what happens if someone has something particularly tragic or (hopefully) happy happen that conflicts with finals?  What if a close family member dies, your wife (or you) goes into labor, etc.  Are you just screwed, or can you makeup the exam in those situations?

Law School Admissions / Applying early

If a school does not start processing applications until November, is there any difference between turning your application in on September 15th and turning it in on October 15th?  Do they "keep them in order" for when they start reviewing them, or are they just all thrown together?

Incoming 1Ls / Anti-Virus and Spyware

I'm sure there will be no shortage of opinions on this subject.  Which Anti-Virus and Spyware software do you prefer?  I HATE having to wait for the software to do its thing when I turn my computer on.  I currently use Norton for virus protection and Trend-Micro for spyware.  I really like the Trend-Micro, but the Norton seems to take a long time doing whatever it is doing before it gives me my CPU back.

Now I feel old.  I just saw all of the summer associates outside the firm's front door getting ready to go to a concert together.  They look like babies!

Studying for the LSAT / Which PT to take?
« on: June 09, 2007, 01:04:10 PM »
I have time for two more practice tests, and I have a few choices.  Is it better to take older or newer tests, or does it matter?  I have taken 42, 40, 34, 32, 31, 30, 16, 15, 13, and 11.  I have available every test between 19 and 38.  Is there any particular reason any one is better than another?  Thanks!

I also have taken 43, 44, and 45, and have 46 available to take.

Studying for the LSAT / What a dilemna!
« on: June 08, 2007, 07:53:22 PM »
What do I do now?  For the last few days, the gas has been out at my condo complex, so I haven't been able to take a hot shower.  Yesterday and today I got my two highest scores ever (176s both times) without taking a shower.  Now should I take the test on Monday without showering?  Is it worth it to do that to my fellow test-takers?

Studying for the LSAT / Experimental RC?

Sorry if this has been discussed already.

Are we assuming that the test next week will have an experimental RC in it, since they will probably need to work on the new types?
