I am still on the waitlist at Hofstra and was wondering if anyone has heard anything or if anyone has gotten off the waitlist recently?

Choosing the Right Law School / Tier 4 law school, or reapply?
« on: July 26, 2004, 08:59:56 AM »
So the only law school I was accepted at is a tier 4 school in an area of the country I don't plan on living after law school.

I was waitlisted at seven schools.  I have one more year of a masters program to complete and I will earn my masters in political science.

I don't know if I should begin at the tier 4 school and try to transfer and possibly risk being at the tier 4 school for three years. Or if I should complete my masters and reapply?  Any advise would be greatly appriciated!

Choosing the Right Law School / Transfering
« on: July 19, 2004, 04:27:12 PM »
How difficult is it to transfer?  I was only accepted to a tier 4 school and am trying to decide if I should attend.  I am not at all happy about attending this school and the thought of being stuck there for three years, if I can't transfer, makes me sick to my stomach.  Please let me know if anyone has any good advice!

Was just wondering how many people were on the waitlist still at Seton Hall?  And if you are on the waitlist was just wondering if you were also willing to be considered for the part time programs as well.  Please keep me posted!

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / When are deposits due?

For those of you who have been accepted to various schools, could you share with everyone when your deposits are due so we have some ideas of when a school may go to their waitlist.  As for me I am interested in learning when Seton hall, hofstra, and syracuse deposits are due.  please share if you know!  thank you!!

Law School Admissions / Anyone talked their way into a school?
« on: June 04, 2004, 07:56:12 AM »
I am sure you have all heard those crazy stories of people being waitlisted and then showing up with a check the first day and getting in.  I am curious, has anyone been waitlisted this year, or hey even rejected, and managed to talk their way into school??  If so let me know.

Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Waitlistsed then rejected?
« on: June 03, 2004, 03:03:13 PM »
I was sent a letter stating that I had been placed on a waitlist at Seton Hall.  I sent back the letter stating that I wished to remain on the waitlist and called to make sure that they had recieved it.  Then I sent a letter stating that Seton Hall was my first choice and sent in a additonal letter of recommendation.  I also had a Seton Hall alumni call and recommend that they take me off the waitlist.

Today I got a letter stating that they had reviewed my application and that I had been denied admission but it didn't mention anything about the waitlist, nor did it say that I was not offered admisssion on the waitlist.  Has anyone else been waitlisted and then rejected this early?  Please let me know, I am so confused!

I think I am setting a record for the student waitlisted at the most schools.  I was waitlisted at seven schools!  I was also waitlisted at my first choice for law school and am desperatly trying to get in...
Has anyone gotten off the waitlist at any law school?  And, if so could you share some tips with the rest of us who are still waiting...
Thank you!!! ???

Did anyone else apply to Seton Hall under the disadvantage applicant screening? And if so has anyone heard anything back?

Choosing the Right Law School / Villanova?
« on: April 26, 2004, 04:11:08 PM »
Is anyone also waiting to hear from Villanova?  I have a feeling bad news is on the way from them considering I have not heard anything back yet.  And, on law school numbers (which is not the end all be all) but only one person has been rejected.  Is anyone else still waiting to hear from Villanova?
