Incoming 1Ls / Re: FAFSA Q- Can I deduct my tuition?

There is no place to deduct cost of tuition on the FAFSA.  Inform the financial aid offices of schools you're interested in directly about a situation of that kind -- it may or may not affect their decision, but the FAFSA itself is not designed to account for spending, only for income.

thnaks. i am actually a returning student, so i suppose they know how much tuition costs. this year my EFC is above the cost of tuition, so i will probably lose my grant.

Incoming 1Ls / FAFSA Q- Can I deduct my tuition?

I am trying to fill out my fafsa and was wondering where I can deduct my tuition costs. I have about $28k in costs for tuition, and I am hoping I can put that somewhere on the fafsa. They ask for scholarship info, so can tuition just be deducted from gross income??

My EFC was waaat too high. And I think the reason is because my scholarships need to be weighed out by tuition costs.

Many thanks for any advice.

My SO and I are in a LDR. I just accept the fact that she is getting pounded by a new frat boy every night.

Since I have about a month before school starts, I am thinking about getting some type of law related book to start me off on the right foot for school. Are there any books that you would recommend? I am thinking about Planet Law School, or possibly Law Schol Confidential...perhaps both???

Thanks for the info.

Honestly, they probably will not even care. It is good that you hvae a decent GPA/LSAT, that is what will carry you. So I take it you will be starting your final year this fall? All you will be doing is shortening your education by a year, which I think is good.

Note: I have no idea what I am talking about.

My mom graduated LS when she was about 40, she has had no problems yet...well, except for her old age memory loss :P

The only thing that gets me through the days is knowing that my company actually pays me for this...
