Acceptances, Denials, and Waitlists / Re: Texas Schools: 1T vs 4T

if you're really hard up for cash and don't want the student loans and you already have a job lined up then you can take a pass on baylor.
but, if you're like everyone else, the best bet is try to go to the highest ranked place that accepts you unless you just really don't want to move there for school.
baylor is like boot camp and has a great reputation for cranking out law students who are ready to go to court.
baylor has a great rep in texas, and their graduates spread out all over texas since nobody really stays in waco.
good networking and great reputation.
and the money really doesn't matter in the big picture.
you'd probably be better off with baylor
if you end up at smu, i've got tons of outlines

with the economy in the crapper in some areas of the country, i'm glad i'm in law school since i left lockheed martin for law school and they have been laying people off since i left.
as far as attending smu for law school, i'm sure everyone has positive and negative things to say about their law school. there are a lot of negative things i could say about smu, but they have a good reputation, especially in TX (where i'll probably stay) and people from smu love to hire other people from smu, so they have excellent networking.

Current Law Students / Re: Admin Law?

i took admin law last semester. i think it was the prof's 2nd time teaching the course at this law school. he did a great job and had an organized syllabus.
if you have a decent outline, admin law isn't that bad.
i'm taking the same prof again this semester for food & drug law.
admin law really makes a handful of other classes much easier since you understand how admin law works.
let me know if you need an outline

i think we are having an admitted students day this week.
finals start in 6 days so everyone is cramming, but if anyone is attending smu next fall and is in town for admitted students day, let me know and i'll try to make time to say hi and answer any questions you have.
if you do end up at smu, i have a ton of outlines for all of the 1L classes and random classes

i'm too busy cramming for finals to keep up with politics.
what'd i miss?

would you believe i can't even remember the last time i woke up at 7am?

whistle while you work
