ah gotcha. thanks for the quick response too mars :]

so i'm pretty set to take the test now. i guess i'll sit on it a while and see if i should take it in feb or december. couple more things though:

if i do take the test again and get something slightly lower, will that hurt my chances? if so, i think i'd rather play it safe and not take it.

also, from looking at LSN, berk's 75th percentile LSAT for 2009 was 169. i guess that, and wanting to play it safe, are the only things keeping me from taking it again. any thoughts?

Studying for the LSAT / ADVISE ME PLEASE!

hey guys, first post so go easy please.

so i took the september lsat and got a 169. i understand that that's not a bad score, but i really want to go to a t14 (boalt hall is my dream school  :D). my lsdas gpa is decent, but not tops (3.73).

i'm thinking of retaking the test in either february or december, but herein lies the problem. my practice tests have been 170-174, so i've done better before. however, is it a wise decision to retake? i just don't know whether law schools will look favorably upon a 169 and then a 170-174 since they're so close, or if that will even make that much bigger of a difference.  also, i'm pretty sure it would look worse if i got something slightly lower, so that's also something to keep in mind.  but yeah, again, my goal is berkeley, but i just don't want to ruin my chances even more. so therefore, i guess what i want to know is if there's a score that i think that i can get that would warrant me taking it again.

thanks guys!
