Title: Canadian Law School Experience vs U.S. Law School Experience
Post by: 4-1 on January 24, 2007, 12:37:31 AM
I am sure that several other posters on this board have pondered the decision of going to law school in States or remaining in Canada. As I am likely to be in a position to make a similar choice soon, I'm curious as to what the consensus is about the main differences between attending a Canadian law school and an American law school.

How similar/different is the syllabus? Which classes are mandatory at each?

Is the approach to teaching the same, or does it differ? Are class sizes different?

Is American law more exciting? Why/why not? I'm particularly interested in this question from an academic standpoint; it's obvious there's more money to be made in the U.S.

Is law school more stressful in the U.S?

For those of you who have already decided, what ultimatly made you pick one or the other?
