SAN FRANCISCO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Sirius Satellite Radio said on Thursday it would offer 25 million shares of common stock and $200 million in convertible notes due 2011 to help fund investments in programming

The company said it would use the $290 million in proceeds for general corporate proposes, including investments in programming. The offerings, underwritten by Morgan Stanley , are expected to close on Oct. 13.
