Transfer question from BC
« on: February 06, 2010, 06:30:07 PM »

Hi,

My 1L boyfriend just found out that he got B/B- average grades from the first semester. We want to move to West coast area, but are concerned that the B average wont help him transfer to any law schools. Does anyone know if it would be possible to transfer? What does he have to get in the spring semester to be able to transfer to UCLA, USC, Loyola, UC Hastings, or Boalt?

B- from Civil Procedure (4 credits)
B from Torts (4 credits)
B- Contracts (4 credits)
A- from Legal Writing (2 credits)

Thanks so much

As a student at BC who attempted to transfer to T14 last summer, I can tell you that a B- GPA leaves you little promise except for Loyola and Hastings. That is, unless he has an outstanding second semester.
