Do I need to send a resume to every school I apply to?, or only those who ask for it

It's up to you for the most part whether to send it to schools that don't request it - it might help your chances depending on what's on it. But don't send one if they make a point of telling you not to in the application instructions (obviously).

I had about 3-4 different versions of my resume for different schools and I applied to 15 schools.

Did you included your resume to all 15?

I sent mine to all that would accept it because it's one of the stronger parts of my application.

If you think it demonstrates a strong point for you that otherwise is not as clearly stated in your application, send that baby to anyone that'll take it.
