Humor in PS?

I've read that you should be cautious when using humor in your PS.  I'm a recently recovered stutterer and I wanted to include a joke about Hugh Grant and Porky Pig in my PS to illustrate the before and after, do you think this would be okay?  I can PM you my PS if you need more context to make the call.

Seriously? If this is true, I'm so screwed.

If I were an Admissions Dean, I would PRAY that some applicants would use humor in their PSs. Even just reading some of the sample essays out there I am exhausted by their earnestness and overinflated sense of importance. I would be so excited to read a fun, light, entertaining yarn that really gave me some insight into the writer's mind (which IS the point of the PS).

DITTO. I don't think you can go wrong with humor....unless it's not funny?
