I saw these postings so I decided to join and give some tips...

I don't have outstanding numbers for Vandy (especially, it seems, for this cycle), but here's what I did to get in.

1) When they came to my UG Professional School Fair, I stopped by their stand and had a good conversation with the recruiter.
2) I scheduled a visit to the Law School and went there in late Nov.  That included a tour of the school, sitting in on a class (Regulatory State, which wasn't bad at all), and discussing things with an admissions office member.

I actually received my acceptance the day before I visited, but I think once they knew I actually went out of my way to visit, they figured I was really interested (which I am).

I think both these things helped me stand out from others with similar numbers, so if you want to go there bad enough, I'd suggest visiting since UG recruitment is probably over.

not to devalue your advice, but no one with your numbers has even been waitlisted this cycle at vandy.  all accepts.  at least according to lsn.

well that's true in the strictest sense, but those with close numbers have been WLed and there are others who have been complete for some time that haven't gone to decision yet with similar numbers.

this range might give you a little better sense of how things have gone for people in that general range.

I applied pretty early and got in on the first batch of admits (according to LSN), so that might have helped as well.

But at any rate, I felt pretty certain scheduling the visit helped...for what it's worth.

I'm love Vandy and will likely attend. I can't wait to see what scholarship they offer in the next few weeks.

I've been complete since mid-October, and still not gone to decision. I hope they're taking their time to award me that full scholarship.
