Does anyone know if it's a good idea to call the office of admissions after you've applied?
What are the benefits/detriments?
Do you look like a pest or like an extremely interested candidate??

Unless you have reason to call them I wouldn't. Most schools will notify you when you go complete, or if you're missing documents, etc.
