I don't plan to, but I need this week and the weekend at least.  And yes, my new place is SOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER, I can't even tell you how much better it is here.

Another 1L is telling me that people are lurking.  Why is it rude? 

I have the worst reputation at my school.  Everybody knows me as the gunner.

I don't know, I just think it would be really rude to go up to someone and be like, "Hey, everyone's making fun of you behind your back because they're all reading this site" or something.  I wasn't there, so maybe it didn't go down like that.

I just made dinner for myself without having to a) wash anything in order to either use it or get to the sink, b) balance trash on top of an overflowing trashcan, or c) take the batteries out of the carbon monoxide detector because I used the stove.  When I read, a cat comes and sits in my lap.  My roommate is thoughtful, quiet, and has a ton of fun hobbies.

And, I mean, that's not even taking into account the lack of vermin.  I could really go on for pages.  It's just so much better.

Property seems amenable to closed book, no?  I could see how that would be a problem for future interests and co-ownership (particularly the four states' rules for tenancy of the entirety), but, otherwise, it seems like you could distinguish yourself by really getting a good foothold in subjects like abandoned, mislaid, and lost (Armory, McAvoy, Hawkins, Hannah v. Peel), fair play and capture norms (rationale soli, Hayak, constructive possession, Keeble), and copyright infringement (Grockster and contributory infringement, Campbell v. Acuff Rose, INS v. AP).

I try to frontload my stress and chill out as the quarter progresses.  I think it's more efficient, considering that there will be stress at some point.

Legal professionalism is horrible. Our prof is not only boring but has mentioned that attendance isn't really necessary and that if we attend we're welcome to do crosswords on our computers.

Con law is awful. just awful

on the up side, property prof is fun. Crim prof is hilarious: crass, loud and sarcastic *but* her exam is closed book. kill me now. I don't want to do this anymore.

Out of all classes, why would you make property closed book?  No practicing lawyer doesn't look up technical provisions of general warranty deeds as opposed to quitclaims, or the elements of a patent.
