You might qualify for some need based aid. It depends on the school. You need to fill out a FAFSA and send it to all schools to which you are applying, whether or not you've been accepted yet (if you've been rejected, then don't bother of course).

You can fill out the FAFSA online. Google it. You'll need to wait till after you get your W2s, probably. They judge you based on what you made the previous year (2007, in this case).

Some aid is grants (you don't pay back); most is loans (you pay back).

I also have parents that could cover tuition if they wanted, but they're not.  I think that means we don't get any need-based aid, even though we have as much need as the next guy.
