Looking at last year's cycle on LSN was enough to terrify me. I ran a search for people with my LSAT score and a comparable GPA. The results were devastating. Most were being placed on waitlists. Some were being outright rejected. Vanderbilt, where I thought I was safe, put someone with my numbers on the waitlist in mid-December.

I applied to most schools in November. Everything is complete except for one LOR. It was not mailed until 11/29 and has still not been processed. I'm afraid that this might destroy my chances.

^Are those your real numbers, or are those estimates?

Do you notice that Vandy and other schools you are following are more lenient this year?

I didn't compare November/December acceptances for 06 vs. 07 on Vandy.

Those are the real numbers. After taking the June test and listening to people complain about it, I thought about retaking in September. I never did, and now I am regretting that decision.

You're safe at Vandy. Don't let an anomaly color your situation bleak. From my constant obsession about numbers, I'd say you're better than 50/50 at everywhere until Chicago. And even then, you're in damn good shape until HYS. You're probably looking good at Stanford too.

utilitarian, i refuse to believe you are actually terrified about your cycle. i think you know you are a lock at almost everywhere you apply. hell, you could apply in late december/january and your chances still wouldn't be "destroyed."

I'm no troll. You can check LSN for yourself. I know I'm a bit too paranoid, but LSN really did scare me. I would hate for a late LOR to hurt my chances of getting admitted anywhere, especially Vandy. It's close to home, and I'd love to go there.
