Thankfully this will not be my first time away from my hometown (if you actually come from the birthplace of Mickey Ward you would understand).

Does anyone know if we can get our UM ID cards before the start of orientation?  I moved here and want to go to the gym but I am too cheap to pay money for something that will be free in T-minus two weeks.

Yeah, I did this. You can just go to the MCard center in the Union.

They may not let you use the gym until the start of your term.  A couple of us who stayed in AA for a few weeks after the end of the winter semester had to buy monthly memberships.  Although the rest of the University pretty much knows nothing about the law school schedule; I hear that sometimes you can fool them into thinking you're in session.

Apparently so, at least on a subconscious level.

Does anybody know if there any good gyms close to the law school?

Thanks!

You can use the school gyms for free (I think--I have a membership at Lifetime by my house so my wife can go to yoga).  I know a bunch of my classmates use them.

HM uses a place called One-to-One, and he likes it a lot.  The YMCA is okay but busy.  Otherwise, you've got the CCRB and the IM building near school which you can use for free while you are enrolled in a term.

Thanks, GCoop and Ender! One-to-One looks awesome but a bit far from school for me...I will definitely be on the lookout for the school gyms, though, which seem to be closer.

I'm so excited to start in two weeks!
