Hey guys, what area of town is FSU? I'm trying to find a decent hotel near the school.

It's right across the street from the Capitol.

I don't know what range you're looking to spend, but I stayed at the Comfort Suites at the Capitol, which I got a rate for a king suite on Expedia for a little over $100. It was really nice; it's like 4 minutes away on Apalachee Pkwy. Right next door to that is a Courtyard by Marriott. They're 1.4 mi from the law school.

Thanks! I went with the Residence Inn Tallahassee Universities At The Capitol. According to MapQuest its about .4 miles away, and I got a great deal on Priceline.

Anyone else that received the email about financial aid packages being available at FSU today?  I've only got info for federal loans and a measly $1000 grant from FSU...does this mean no scholarships???

I got the same email and grant today.  I'm not sure if it means no scholarships--you might want to call and ask.  And $1000 is by no means measly for those of us that are instate.   8)

What are the numbers (LSAT/GPA) for those of you who have received scholarships? I applied a couple weeks ago, and haven't heard anything yet. My numbers are 166/3.6, and I'm hoping for a significant scholarship since it is my #1 choice.

Thanks

I didn't mean to imply that $1000 bucks is nothing, every little bit helps.  Unfortunately, for an out-of-stater it isn't quite enough  :-\

160/3.4 but I'm pretty sure you have to have filled out your fafsa to have gotten the grant (it's listed in my financial aid package).  With your numbers they might just send you the standard high numbers scholarship of $5,000/year (more if you're out of state).

I submitted my FAFSA as well and my numbers are 161/3.4 to get the grant.  Good luck  ;D

I haven't gotten any fiaid info. And I forgot to ask about it when I was there. I did my FAFSA a month ago... but have no info about doing anything else.

I received the fin aid email as well.  Unfortunately, I can't loggin to see what's going on :-(.  I'll have to get that checked out.

What all are we supposed to receive from the school once admitted?  I've gotten my acceptance letter with some forms and a letter with a fact sheet.  I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
