Also on the waitlist.  Does anyone know how many are typically WL at UMich, and how many people are usually accepted off of it?

ie are my chances SLIM in getting off their WL, or any WL for that matter?

Thanks!

I'm definitely not betting on coming off the WL; they really should have just rejected me instead.  I hate having false hope. :)

Me too. However, back in February, UPenn placed my application on hold for further review. Now, is that better or worse than being on a wait list?

Waitlist at a top 20 school is pretty much equivalent to rejection.

much better... it means you haven't been accepted or rejected... they just need more time... waitlist means you've been rejected but hey, if lightning strikes a large number of incoming students, we'll use you as filler... =)

that being said, please admit me as filler ^^

Rumor has it last year they didn't accept anyone off the wailist, b/c they got a very high yield ... not sure what the story will be this year though.
