Thanks for the advice, heres a list of schools I want to apply to, which do I have a chance at (3.7, 160)

U.Miami
U.Florida
FSU
Emory
Tulane
Dickenson (penn state)
BU
BC
Rutgers
Wake Forest
Fordham

Which schools at my level would you say carry the best NAME?

Similar boat as me so I can offer some insight (we'll have the same adm. index at a lot of places)

Wake Forest, FSU, Miami, and Tulane should be locks. UF is a little harder, but they don't give much money anyways and if you're out of state I'd steer clear (makes me sad too). Emory should be a target, you have a lower LSAT but a nice GPA and URM status will bump you up (you'll be competing with me though, grrr) I can't speculate on the others I've done no research on them. Doubtless someone will chime in about Fordham soon.

-DS
3.0 UGPA (3.08-3.1 expected at Graduation)
LSAT: 163
URM - Mex./Cau.

(My guess percentage change of getting accepted)

U.Miami- 98%
U.Florida- 85%
FSU- 95%
Emory- 60%
Tulane- 90%
Dickenson (penn state)- 90%
BU- 62%
BC- 62%
Rutgers- 70%
Wake Forest- 80%
Fordham- 61%

I say add Duke, Cornell, Georgetown, Vanderbilt and Washington and Lee to that list. As for what school is the best from those I'd say Fordham, BC, BU or Emory depending on where in America you are!

As you see, I see you sweeping that whole list you put up there with maybe a waitlist or two but no rejections. So... expand your list :)

If you take my spot at W&L I will hunt you down, just so we're clear.

What URM status, btw. It makes a difference. (Say NA and you can ignore any percentages)

I am cuban/arabic, I have a wife and a kid, and I would say a pretty tough life and have overcome a few struggles to this point, I dont know how much they will care but I hope enough to consider me.

What do you think?

Well, let's not overrate it either. There's plenty of schools that are out of reach at 3.71/160 even as an URM. If you have something truly outstanding in your background to add to it, it might be a different story. But I expect the OP would have mentioned so if he/she did.
