Besides getting a few questions answered, do you get any discernible advantage by attending the forums? Has anyone been given a boost in the admissions process? I registered for the Houston forum, and may not be able to attend. Thanks!

I went to the Atlanta forum and was able to get a few fee waivers out of it, but other than that I don't think you gain any particular advantage.

I think I left a memorable impression on a couple of schools, but who knows.

I definetely believe you can gain an advantage by attending. I spent about an hour with a rep for the school I am applying ED to, she makes decisions. I believe this will give me an advantage getting accepted. I have since followed up with an email and phone call.
