I mean, it's the whole point of their service and everything... and I'm talking about the time it takes AFTER they have all your stuff.

cui bono?

I frankly don't know what the OP is talking about. All of my reports were sent within one business day of the request.

Mine were ready within 1 business day as well. Not sure when they were shipped out. Schools can take a while to process your stuff, so it may be on their end. This cycle it has taken my schools 7-25 days from requesting my file to telling me I am complete. I appled to all of them (sans 1) within a 3 day period.

Would someone please clarify the process and timeline a bit for me?  Is it:

Basically, it works like this:

1. Submit application online or by paper.

2a. Pay for a report
(2b. School notifies you of application receipt.)
(2c. LSAC sends school the paper application W/O your report (only applicable w/ online apps).)
2d. School requests report (as indicated by LSAC website).

3. LSAC sends the report or makes a PDF copy available to the school (sometimes with a paper copy of your application as well, in the case of online apps; this step always occurred w/in one business day of 2d, IME)

4. School notifies you (via e-mail, snail-mail, or online status check, that your application is complete).

Items w/in number 2 can take place in any order, and parenthetical items (2b and 2c) only occur sometimes (2c is exceedingly rare, IME).

I've noticed that my law school reports aren't sent in the order requested.  Is that normal or is there something wrong?

are you sure your schools in question have requested your application?

i sent out an app to duquesne university on sept. 13th and they still havent requested my app from lsac. that could be the reason why your school hasnt gotten your report.

now, if the school has told you that they are waiting for your application, you should get a hold of lsac and see whats going on.

This thread is news to me - I've never had a turnaround time of more than 1 day (not counting weekends) from when an LSDAS report is requested and when it is sent out.

Why does the school have to request the report? Wouldn't it be easier for LSAC to just send it along with your application when you submit it and pay?

Perhaps because we have to pay for them separately.
