"Level" on online applications? Accept, Prefer, Require?
« on: October 28, 2007, 08:59:06 PM »
Before anybody jumps all over me: 1) yes, I did try to research this and couldn't find anything 2) yes, I already tried to post this, so it may be redundant, but I can't find the original post, so if this annoys you, sorry.
Can anyone tell me what the "Level" right by the Application, Deadline, Status means on the individual school links, right after clicking on a particular school right after the long list of schools? I haven't submitted anything yet, but a lot of mine say Accept or Prefer and a few say Require. Only Harvard, Yale and Notre Dame say Require and all the schools that have offered me fee waivers say Accept. Any thoughts?

Also, I was wondering about the probabilities of acceptance to schools I've received fee waivers from. Is there any correlation there? If you've received a fee waiver does that mean you have a very high/almost guaranteed acceptance there?

Thanks in advance!

Accept, Prefer and Require all sound pretty self-explanatory to me.
