Re: 3.2 GPA - 163 LSAT URM - Where to go in the southeast?

With a 162, florida coastal and international should be removed as safeties...consider Mercer in S. Georgia, princeton review has them as most wired and best professors on their list...Maybe Stetson?  I dont remember their numbers offhand but I believe your in the realm of stretch.  And you should be fine at the university of miami... Maybe Tulane?  dunno if your lsat makes up for your gpa, but you can always try.

I would consider Miami as a target safety school and possibly Emory as a super reach.

Howdy.  I'll second Mercer! But that's only because I've officially become their troll.  They give away a ton of scholarships.  Your LSAT might make you a contender for money.  Of course, ya' can't forget that (largely meaningless) USNWR #1 legal writing program.

You're probably pretty good for FSU, South Carolina, and Houston.

UGA is a big time reach there, Emory is a reach too.

Mercer, Georgia State, maybe Tennessee, Wake Forest

Take a look at Miami I'd say. You're probably in for FSU and Coastal and International.

If you identify as hispanic on your applications, you will have better options because of the URM boost. Personally, I'd aim higher. Look at schools in the 15-30 range where you want to work as reaches like Emory, Vandy, etc. Forget about Coastal and FIU.

FWIW, I have a 163/3.2 and the LSAC calculator seems to think I have a decent shot at getting into Emory. Its definitely worth a shot, especially considering your status a a URM.

Emory confuses me. They are highly rated and yet they still accept a number of students with LSAT's in the low 160's and GPA's below 3.5. Heck, it's all good, but I'm just saying.

With the URM status, I'd throw a W&L app out there
