All y'all who've finally figured out what a cesspool Nawlins is, and don't want to be trapped there for the next 3 years, are welcome to apply to a REAL law school.  Some scholarship money is still available.  We have many students from your state.

Jacksonville rules over cesspool Nawlins

Transfer request sent.

I'm going to be retired by the time I stop getting them.

Gmail seems to be pretty good about filtering them out. The Liberty postcards, on the other hand, just don't stop coming. :-\

I had thought I would have received the financial aid packet other posters have been talking about in today's mail, but came up empty-handed.I don't see anything new under the "documents" tab on the admitted students site either. Hmmm.....

Check the "Financial Aid" tab.  If you don't get it by the end of the week just send an email to financial aid and they will send you another one.

Aha! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks...

is this week's letter different?

Yes - information about loan costs, attendance costs, and lots of interesting salary info from the classes of 2006/2007 broken down by region/employment type. I'm skeptical of this - 140k median for private practice in 2007 w/ 49% reporting - but if that's accurate, wow!

I assume information about applying for and receiving loan funding will be sent out shortly...

Visiting professor?

No, but he/she's a brand new prof.

Property grades are up, by the way.

Thanks for the heads up. I am interested to see the distribution on this one when it comes out.
He/She/It is nice enough, but a very different law school experience.
Oh well. We'll see.

I'm just glad that the grades are all up. Man, LRW actually saved my ass this semester. Who would have thought that the class I so passionately despised would actually come through for me?

Grades scare me, especially their randomness :(

TortNRetort --- what was the name of the book you referenced above in regards to that property question? I think we may have read similar books.
