I still don't understand why people believe in LSN so much. People can make fake records, and also, it doesn't show EVERY single applicant to that school for that cycle. So, how is LSN a good reference?

It's not great, but the sample size is usually large enough that reporting issues will cancel each out. While LSN can only give you a ballpark estimate of your chances of being accepted or rejected by a given school, it can give you an idea of what that school's auto-reject/admit thresholds are, and thus help you determine where you'll be competitive.

It's not great, it's just the best option available. All your comments are very much true, but LSN has a quite large data sample, so the general trends you see there are still applicable, just don't read it like it's a bible.
