How long to prepare for LSAT?

Can anyone please tell me on the average how long it should take to prepare for the LSAT. I plan on studying 2-3 hours everyday. Along with attending a Testmasters Class for 2 months, 8hours/week.(highly recommended.) I have not yet took a full test but started reading my first prep book.

I honestly wouldnt rush, and would like to take the Feb test, but my gf works at the law library at St Johns and she says that since a lot of schools start accepting applications Nov 15th, I will be improving my chances by taking the LSAT and applying to schools earlier since the classes can fill up early. Is there any truth in that? I would ideally like to attend next Fall.

If you're applying this cycle, Feb. is definitely too late in my opinion. Even December is pretty late but somewhat acceptable. Ideally you should have taken it this summer, and no later than this coming weekend. I say get your *&^% together and be ready for December.

Or, you could just take the stress off and wait a year... I'm not even planning on going to LS until fall 2006,
