16-0 Patriots?!
« on: October 14, 2007, 11:55:52 PM »

In theory, I doubted that a team could sustain that type of momentum for a season, much less the playoffs, but the Patriots look like they could do it.  They have a demanding, perfectionist coach like Don Shula (72' Dolphins); a killer defense with smart veterans like Seau; a third-string running back that runs like your average first-string . . . Brady, Moss . . . .

In fact, after seeing their third-string RB tear it up today, I'm convinced this is a team that might do it.  The team oozes talent in too many directions to be stopped.
Yep.

With the 16 game regular season, there is a disincentive to win every game. If the Pats get near 12-0 they will start resting their good players for the 'big' games.  No need to risk getting anyone injured if you have a top seed for the play-offs locked.

I missed the topic when it first came around.

Simply put, yes, no matter what the Cowboys say.

By no means am I a Colts fan but I do want to see a Colts-Pats rematch in which the Colts are healthy (namely Marvin Harrison). Either way, I don't see an NFC team winning the SB this year...

I don't know Cory.  I think Green Bay or Dallas have a decent shot.

bump because I'm correct.

That was a tough one.

I called that *&^% the minute they acquired Moss. So did most people who know football.

All year you have been waiting for the upset, but now, you jump on the bandwagon.

The Pats are cheaters. I'm guessing either the Colts or Dallas/GB will knock them off.

Just stop.

I'm not even a Pats fan and I don't believe that *&^%.
