4.0/162; a shot at T16?

4.0/162; a shot at T16?
« on: October 07, 2007, 11:39:21 PM »
I plugged my numbers into the LSAC calc and it gives me 15-30% chances for T16 schools. So, if I apply to a dozen of them, I should get into a couple, is that so?

I would especially like to go to a California school (not a CA resident though). UCLA and USC are my top choices.

I'm white, but do have a wildcard: growing up and going to law school in a former Soviet Union. PS/LoRs/resume are good.

So, should I be able to get into a T16 after applying to just about every school in it?

In state at Texas would likely get you into the T18...

Your odds are slim at USC and UCLA but possible.  You will almost certainly get into one of the other Tier 1 UCs...

I would not get your hopes up for a "T16." But that's hardly the end of the world, and T16 seems a fairly arbitrary division.

thanks! do you think you'd be up for taking it again? I can see you've already come a really long way since your diagnostic, but even getting it up to a 165 would make a HUGE difference with a 4.0 GPA. You'd probably have a realistic chance at Boalt, for example. Either way, you've probably got some good options coming your way as long as you spread those applications around liberally.

Actually, I'm afraid to score lower. I did every test in existence at least twice and don't know how to practice any more. I'm afraid I maxed out.

Hey, This is not Harassment. I'm talking about myself. This is about me. If I had those numbers, I would just apply to Cooley's part time night paralegal assistant program. But you will get into the T16 don't worry.

What are my chances at University of Washington? Their medians are 3.63/162. I'm a permanent US resident, have lived in WA for the last few years. Legally, I'm a WA resident, but would UW consider me one and give preference? Frankly, they're my first choice.
