Font Size for PS??
« on: October 06, 2007, 03:06:43 PM »
I was working on my PS today for a couple law schools but am unsure about the font size.  Some schools specify at least 11 or higher, while others make no mention of it.  Should I just assume 11 is the status quo and go with that, or would it be a good idea to individually e-mail each school and find out?

Thanks!

I'd start out with 12 and reduce to 11 if you have to for space reasons. But I don't think it matters too much.

I think 11 is fine.  The only school to my knowledge that requires a 12 font is UCLA.  The smallest font allowed specifically by a school is 10 by Cornell.

Just use 12 point Times or something standard like that. They aren't judging you based on font, just don't make your font stand out.

I went with symbol 5pt.  If you make it too easy on them, they think you're a pushover.
