Does being "mixed" give any boost to the application? My grandmom (now deceased :-\) was a hispanic, though I grew up in a culture dominated by the ethnicity of my 3/4 blood. I do not reveal my ethnicity to people, except some closer friends (cos others would find the country "obscure" -- narrow minded people they are!).

There are people who, on the other LS forum keep saying that even 1/4 can legitimately claim as hispanic in this case, but others dont think so. I also feel uncomfortable with this idea. So I am planning to tick the "other" category, and explain my case in the space provided. Plus, I am going to address this is my PS, which is bound to be a bit interesting.

"explain your case" - no

"address how you will bring a diverse viewpoint to the law school class" - yes

Hiding your ethnicity from people seems a little dramatic but whatever...

Homer:... Stanford!
