My recommendation is just sitting there in the inbox

So I gave my boss a recommendation to fill out late August, and she agreed to turn it in early October and then tossed it in her inbox. She said she would look over the materials this past weekend. I check today and it is still there, untouched.
When do you think I should gently remind her about the recommendation?
I'm hoping to go complete mid October and I'm giving 2 weeks for LSAC to process it.

I wouldn't use the word remind in the conversation, but ask how it's coming along, go in to say hi, bring the teacher a card or something. Ask if there's any more info you can provide that would be helpful.
