Is the rumored "frat culture" prevalent or just for those who wish to participate? Was everyone peer pressured into participating in that 1L parade thing? It's prevalent. Less so at the law school though than around central grounds where most of the bars/ sporting events are. My section all seemed to have a lot of fun at Dandelion. That said, there were I think three kids that didn't participate though even some of them were there watching. So, no not really any pressure but UVa's the kind of place where people actually want to be sociable as a whole rather than spending Fri. afternoon in the libs. What's the parking situation for 1Ls?There's a lottery. Only about half get close parking. There's more lots for everyone else w/i a 10 min. walk. There are also regular buses and most of the 1l's live w/i ten min. walk of the school. How much time have you spent studying/reading on weekdays and weekends?I've spent an entire Sunday in there one weekend bc I didn't do any work the rest of the weekend. I've also gone weekends with just an hour of reading for class. Is the dining hall as bad as everyone says it is? Do you have time to go to Barracks for lunch?Depending on your schedule you should have time. Most days my section has two or three hours around lunch time. The dining hall's not that great, a lil overpriced but it's not bad, just nothing to write home about. A lot of peeps bring their lunches and they have freezers/microwaves in the cafeteria for those that do.(Not very important questions but I'm a UVa undergrad so I already know most of the basics)
Well he's had it in for me ever since I kinda ran over his dog... Well, replace the word "kinda" with "repeatedly" and the word "dog" with "son."
