Say It Ain't So... No Really, Please Do
« on: September 09, 2007, 01:11:37 PM »
I've been looking at the GW Early Decision option for some time now, and it seems a more attractive option the more I think about it.  I just heard from a friend of a friend, however, that applying ED to GW will result in you not being offered any scholarships from other schools, even if you're rejected at GW.

I have a hard time believing that this is true, but I thought I'd consult the general wisdom of LSD before telling her she's full of *&^%.

Has anyone heard anything along these lines?

GW's ED program now comes with a full scholarship included with acceptance.

Right, that's why I'm so interested in it.  However, this friend of a friend claimed that even if you're rejected from the Early Decision program, you're cut off from scholarships from other schools.

Cool.  That's what I figured, but this was one of those things where the consequence is severe enough to make you ask a dumb question just to make sure you're right.

Thanks folks.

You're right, though. It IS really important, so call GW and check, but with a fake name for when they laugh at you.
