Case Western or Cleveland Marshall with $$$
« on: September 01, 2007, 10:25:09 AM »
Hello,

I am going to apply to both Case Western and Cleveland Marshall. Judging from what people on lawschoolnumbers.com are reporting, with my scores (3.6 GPA and 159 LSAT) I can either count on a nearly full ride at CM or nearly full price at CASE (around 35 per year).

What would you guys do?

While I'm sure Case students who get high grades have opportunities that justify their expensive tuition, the same cannot be said for the average student. There is no way to predict your grades, so it's better to bet you'll be average.

That said, the scholarship at Cleveland State is likely to come with strings attached and there is no guarantee you'll keep it after first year. Even so, your 2L and 3L tuition would be HALF of what the tuition at Case would be if you are an Ohio resident. If you're not an Ohio resident, you need to look into how to obtain residency before you commit to attending Cleveland State.

You might want to look into Univ. of Cincinnati also.
