I am not sure whether I should use a letter of recommendation from a person who is mentoring me. He was once commended as the premier land use attorney in South Florida. However he was disbarred in 2000 for stealing money out of escrow. He did his time in jail and is now working for a major land owner and doing consulting for Blackstone. I am getting a LOR from a Blackstone executive and he is going to talk about me working with this guy.

Should I use a LOR from the jail bait attorney?
Would the Admissions committee go as far to find out who he is?
