How does an M.A. affect numbers?
« on: August 25, 2007, 09:43:10 PM »
How favorably will an MA in philosophy reflect on my application.  I received an MA from a very good philosophy program (top dozen offering terminal MA degree as rated in the philosophy gourmet report).  I am sitting at a 3.5/163.  Will I be accepted to a top 20 program?

You'd probably have a decent shot at somewhere in the top 20. USC is a possibility, as it UT Austin. LSAT is probably a little low for the T-14, but Cornell isn't impossible. Can your retake the LSAT? Adding 5 points to your score would really increase your options.
